PEACE DAY

This year all our students have celebrated peace day in school by doing many nice drawings and making great crafts allusive to this celebration. Some of these crafts and drawings were used to decorate the Plurilingual Mural, the main Hall, many corridors and their classrooms with the most common Peace Symbols. Some other crafts were designed to wear during Peace Celebration like crowns, rings, bracelets, necklaces, etc. Here are some photos:

Some other classes have made some cardboard colourful footprints with many different words related to PEACE to decorate all the corridors towards the playground where we have met to celebrate such a significant day as a way to show the path to PEACE!!
They have also made some beautiful hearts with perspective in order to show the feeling of PEACE.
We have celebrated this important day by reciting and singing some songs at the School Main Playground. We have enjoyed by singing "Imagine" by John Lennon, song allusive to Peace which has just celebrated its 50th anniversary as our school celebrates it this year too. It was practiced in the differents classes during the previous weeks. They have had a really great time !!

IMAGINE - John Lennon

This year the song selected to sing on Peace Day is "Imagine" by John Lennon in order to honour this great singer for the 50th anniversary of this wonderful song. All the students will sing it during january in the English, Arts and Music classes and in our "Peace Day Act" on 28th January.

Imagine  by  John  Lennon

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us, only sky

Imagine all the people
Livin' for today
Ah

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too

Imagine all the people
Livin' life in peace
You

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one.
